Becoming a LEDGER subscriber has been a step in the right direction for my firm.

I find the quality of LEDGER to be quite refreshing in the world of spam email and superfluous newsletters from one organisation or another."

Steve has managed to include very relevant articles, and provided some good advice and tips to go along with them. I found the article on "What makes a client change adviser" in Issue 2 particularly useful.

As a Business Manager I am always on the lookout for advice on the best way to market my firm. Becoming a LEDGER subscriber has been a step in the right direction.

I find the quality of LEDGER to be quite refreshing in the world of spam email and superfluous newsletters from one organisation or another.

Even though LEDGER is produced in Canada, and my firm is located in Australia, I still find the majority of information to be both relevant and interesting, and I very much look forward to future issues.

Thank you Steve for the opportunity to freely subscribe to such a good quality offering.

"Steve McIntyre-Smith has an obvious and deep-rooted understanding of the problems facing today's practitioner, such an understanding that can only come from having been there himself."

"I have used Steve McIntyre-Smith at MFA as my marketing consultant for over two years now, and during this time, together, we have worked towards re-engineering the look of my business.

I first discovered Steve through his website and was very intrigued by his manual, "LOW COST HIGH IMPACT WAYS TO WIN NEW CLIENTS." I bought it 2 days after I first saw it - I knew I had to have it.

At that time, I knew I was in a rut - doing the same thing year-in and year-out. I knew I wanted to change how I operated my practice, but I wasn't sure how to go about actually doing it.

After having read through the manual I called Steve on the phone to see of he was actually "for real". He was. After speaking with him I decided to fly to Toronto to spend 4 days with him to work on my business' marketing plan.

Since then, I have been working with Steve to recreate my practice. Becoming focussed on what services I want to sell, and - just as importantly - how I want to sell them.

When I met Steve I knew that I was interested in developing a certain kind of marketing tool. I knew I wanted to put my intellect and knowledge on paper……well 2 years later and I finally got it done. Without Steve I am convinced it would never have happened.

Steve has served as a great resource with whom I can brainstorm with and he has been more than willing to help with the implementation along the way. Steve has supplied me with a great array of practical, working tools that I have added to my marketing toolbox, which were provided to me ON TIME as he promised and at a GREAT PRICE.

I have used the following services of MFA, and recommend them all:

  • Downloadable marketing tools
  • Face to face consulting
  • Web site production
  • Marketing materials - letters and brochures
  • Monthly e-consulting service & "brainstorming"

I recommend MarketingForAccountants whole-heartedly to all CAs and CPAs around the world."

We totally reorganized the way were were doing some things... anticipated profitability many multiples of the fees involved and I would happily recommend Steve to other CAs and CPAs around the world.

"I first met Steve McIntyre-Smith when he designed and built the first web site for my practice, in 2002.

Since then we have bought-in to 'Towards Awesome Client Service', brought Steve in to do some interviewing and assessments with our staff, help with implementing TACS and recently engaged him for a week long consulting project.

We have always found Steve to be easy to deal with and highly knowledgeable of the accounting profession - he's obviously been in my shoes and understands the problems we face as public accounting firms.

During our consulting project with Steve, we gained a host of new ideas, totally reorganized the way were were doing some things, and fine-tuned others.

The bottom line is anticipated profitability many multiples of the fees involved and I would happily recommend Steve to other CAs and CPAs around the world." - Joseph Truscott, CA, Hamilton, Ontario.

Hi Steve

Having recently subscribed to your email newsletter I would like to congratulate you on the content of LEDGER, Vol I, Issue 8.

Is there any chance of the back issues covering the "Jump The Hurdles" article - I am currently rewriting our in house notes re meetings with clients and I found your points extremely useful.

I look forward to hearing from you.

"Valuable marketing information and inspiration - I'm finding it extremely useful."

Steve,

Thanks for the newsletters - this is the second one I've received since subscribing and I think they're great! I got wind of your newsletter through another newsletter I subscribe to… Anyway, you are providing valuable marketing information and inspiration.

Breaking down the sales process to understand the customer's view has started to raise questions about my approach to prospective clients - I'm finding it extremely useful.

I'm mailing for a bit of a favour... I've only recently subscribed to this newsletter and the two I've seen are providing valuable information about the 9 hurdles. I would be extremely grateful if you could forward a copy of the newsletter which details the first three hurdles:

  • I don't know you
  • I don't know your firm
  • I don't know what you do

Thank you for your inspiration It's all interesting stuff... thanks!

Your tips and advice on your website take everything I've been trying to tell our shareholders for years and puts it in wonderfully clear and direct order...

I'm preparing materials for a firm retreat Thursday - most of your suggestions will be top of the list.

I've been the marketing director for my husband's firm since 1991. I've looked over lots of websites, marketing materials, books and direct mail pieces, even gone to Association for Accounting Marketers meetings. Your tips and advice on your website take everything I've been trying to tell our shareholders for years and puts it in wonderfully clear and direct orders. Just what accountants need to hear and they'll probably believe it now because it comes from another accountant - not just my humble journalism degree....

Great ideas for using voice mail, I was one of those who used to just hang up because I didn’t know how to leave a message that would encourage a return call.

'I have been very impressed by your newsletter. So much so I have forwarded it to a few my associates and friends...'

I am a small suburban Chartered Accountant based in Carnegie Melbourne. I have been very impressed by your newsletter. So much so I have forwarded it to a few my associates and friends and suggested they look at your web site.

I started 2.5 years ago with zero clients and now have a nice selection of clients. I am presently looking at opening at bigger office and will be signing up for some of your products.
