KEEPING THE TAP
TURNED ON.
I can't believe
another month has come and gone, and with it, our vacation.
All that planning,
the build up, the anticipation, and now, we start to think
about Christmas!
The priciples are
the same in marketing.
Meticulous planning,
budgeting and a steady build up of expectation all lead
up to the execution of a marketing effort, only to be
started over again immediately after as we evaluate the
results and then start to plan the next event.
The problem that
many Accounting firms experience is the feast and famine
regime.
One month we are
too busy meeting the demands and expectations of clients
to do any marketing, the next we have caught up and there
is little to do, so we market ourselves and the cycle
repeats itself.
Much better to have
a steady, constant flow of quality work than to have the
stop-start workflow experience, but how do we achieve
it?
It's all about keeping
the tap turned on to generate a steady flow of inquries,
even when we are busy, so that we have a regular supply
of new work to look forward to.
The trick is to
develop a marketing plan and execute it over the course
of the year to develop a regular flow of inquiries about
our services that will lead to a number of new clients
every month.
That's why I am pleased to announce that this month we
are making a new free ebook available for download.
"Developing
a marketing plan for your practice" will be available
for a limited time free of charge from our free downloads
page before going on sale at $39.95 in the fall.
It's a "pdf"
file, and from Monday 12th August 2002 you can download
it for free.
Use it to target
exactly the type of client you prefer to deal with, devise
a marketing activity plan for the year ahead, build practice
development time into your schedule and reap the rewards
steadily and consistently over the year ahead.
